AKINDO Hackathon protocol White paper ver0.1
Why?AKINDO
AKINDO is a hackathon platform that allows protocols to build a developer community and expand their ecosystem. It solves the challenges of project decentralization through a hackathon solution.
Who?
AKINDO's main target is web3 projects that are developing protocols. With a core team and a working protocol already in place, AKINDO serves as a tool to build a developer community for subsequent project decentralization.
What?
AKINDO offers small hackathon solution for protocols to build their own developer community. AKINDO Hackathons are characterized by the following features:
Small
The prize range for a hackathon is $1,000 - $3,000. Teams and individuals are welcome to participate.
On-going
AKINDO organizes hackathons for various protocols in small milestones, and developers are always free to contribute.
Seamless
The design of the program maximizes rewards through continuous output. We create a relationship with the project through a system in which developers are recognized for their ongoing involvement.
How?
AKINDO is a hackathon protocol from Japan. Japan has the third biggest engineers’ community in the world, but cultural and business customs prevent protocols to reach out them. As a hackathon platform for Japanese blockchain engineers, AKINDO will serve as a catalyst between Japan and the World; serving the global protocol community.
AKINDO’s core team already has a great presence and influence in the Japanese web3 community, being able to reach out from the most promising Web 3 projects to the most prominent IT companies in Japan. We are willing to connect these partners to global protocols by supporting protocols to held online hackathons as well as real, offline events in Japan.
We are currently working with several protocols as a hackathon launch partner.
We will be announcing that shortly.
RoadMap
AKINDO is Hyperstructure model oriented,
with the goal of becoming a Uniswap like protocol. The roadmap is as follows:
1.Hackathon Platform
AKINDO will be small, on-going, and seamless;it will establish a position as a hackathon platform on par with Gitcoin and Devpost as a place where developers from all over the world can gather. We will create a competitive advantage over competing products by offering better features, easy-to-use UX, thorough support, and a high-quality community.
2.Hackathon Protocol
As a first step, AKINDO will work with a similar scheme as other hackathon platforms, but as a second step, we will automate it with a protocol. The specifications are as follows:
Project users create reward pools
Management of Developers participation and submission status
After a specified period of time, voting can be done for the developers who have submitted deliverables (Votes are sorted by referencing oracle data)
A certain percentage of the reward pool is transferred to developers in the distribution determined at the time of the pool’s creation
Voting is permanent, on a weekly cycle, and rewards are paid out through continuous updates.
3.SBT vote provides liquidity to the reward pool
In order to maximize the rewards paid to developers, it is necessary to keep increasing the Deposit of the reward pool. To incentive that action users who deposit to the pool will be given Soul-Bond Token (SBT) votes. Developers who excelled on their work will get these SBT votes, that can be used as an achievement records to prove their works and portfolios.
Protocols will have a record of who they have voted and evaluated while developers will have a record of having been evaluated.
The protocol that hosts the hackathon becomes a platform, maximizing not only the credentials of each, helps to create a closer relationship between protocols and developers, and finally to increase the reward pool for expanding the ecosystem, so to speak, of the treasury.
By composing smart contracts such as betting protocols, SBT-based profit distribution protocols, etc., the incentive design for Reward Pool Deposit users can be extended.
Vision
AKINDO's vision is to enable anyone to create, through hackathons, a real DAO that is not just a bottom-up, but autonomous and decentralized, with the reward design protocol at its center.
The essence of AKINDO is a protocol in which a fixed percentage of the reward pool is paid out in continuous returns according to the output of the contributors.
The evaluation of the output is not limited to a vote of the pool donors, but can be objective using oracle data, and the protocol can be automated.
This allows projects to leverage the AKINDO protocol to not only easily create a permission-less and trust-less ecosystem like Bitcoin, but also to leverage SBT to flexibly create new liquidity acquisition opportunities and new mechanisms for DeFi.
Example:
Travel Video Protocol
1. Hold a travel video hackathon with a reward of 1 million yen
2. Collect travel videos from around the world and determine the winner
3. Create media by collecting a certain number of videos and acquire advertisers
4. Transfer sales from advertisers to the reward pool to generate ongoing rewards
5. Deposit users rate creative videos using SBT
6. Reward Deposit users get a portion of the sales through the rated videos as dividends
7. Realization of a 3-way win-win system
Our Community
Thanks for reading to the end.
We have a Discord community for AKINDO.
There you can participate in hackathons, share information with other builders, and get the latest AKINDO news.
