WaveHack Global Launches: Unleashing $230K in Grants to Pioneer Crypto Innovations with 13 Partner Projects – Kickoff Event April 13th!
5-Month Continuing Grant Distribution Program, Demo Day with IVS Crypto, EDCON, and WebX, Japan's major summer Crypto conference
Participants will continue to receive grants based on their own product development progress. In addition, teams that receive high evaluations during the event period will be invited to demo days held concurrently with IVS Crypto, EDCON, and WebX.
The initial grant, provided by the first partners, totals $230,000 across 13 projects, with the final goal of accumulating $500,000 in grants from 30 projects.
Details and application: http://www.wavehack.global/
Participants can utilize the technologies of partner projects to develop their products, undergoing a two-week cycle of implementation and review to earn development grants bi-weekly.
The program continues until the end of August, welcoming anyone to join at any time. This is not a hackathon; thus, grants can be obtained by optimizing and submitting in-development products to grant partner projects. Projects starting from scratch are also eligible for evaluation.
Top teams or individuals from each partner project will have the opportunity to present at Demo Days held concurrently with major web3 conferences such as IVS Crypto, EDCON, and WebX this summer.
Since March, the Aptos pre-program has already distributed $7,000 to over ten participants.
This first announcement of grant partners comprises global leaders in blockchain and infrastructure layer projects. With some projects supporting common development languages, even developers new to building web3 applications can easily participate in WaveHack Global.
Introducing the First Round of Grant Partners:
Aptos
Aptos is a layer-1 blockchain created by members of Meta. It aims to bring the next billion people onto the blockchain. Developers can efficiently implement applications using the Move language, which provides high security for users.

MINA Protocol
Mina is the world’s lightest blockchain, powered by participants. Rather than apply brute computing force, Mina uses advanced cryptography and recursive zk-SNARKs to design an entire blockchain that is about 22kb, the size of a couple of tweets. It is the first layer-1 to enable efficient implementation and easy programmability of zero knowledge smart contracts (zkApps).

XRPL Ledger
XRP Ledger is a decentralized public blockchain with a long history of use by Ripple, global financial institutions, and the Web3 project since it went live in 2012. It is a chain that can be used for various use cases such as DeFi without deploying smart contracts because it has basic functions such as token issuance/management and DEX as protocol functions.
The Graph
The Graph provides a protocol for creating blockchain indexes. Developers can easily build new use cases such as DeFi, NFT marketplaces, and DAOs by accessing indexed data through APIs.
