It's been a while since I've posted a blog entry. Thanks to you, AKINDO has been able to host hackathons for Astar, Slash, Flow, Fracton and other great web3 projects.

However, this is still 0.001% of the way to where we want to be. I will continue to improve it to become an essential infrastructure protocol for any project to become decentralized.

I am pleased to announce the release of the Product Submission feature, an update that is one step in that direction⛰.

What is the product submission function?？

AKINDO had an initial release with minimal functionality in order to improve it as we received feedback from developers and projects.

Previously, projects could create a hackathon page, gather developers, and pay the winners through the AKINDO contract, but the product review process had to be done elsewhere.

It is very tedious to give the submission form to the developer and then review the submitted products on a spreadsheet.

No problem. With this update, this problem will be solved.Developers can now create their own product pages on AKINDO and submit them to any hackathon they enter.

This section explains how to use this function.

Product Submission Process

1. Enter a Hackathon📲

To submit your product to a hackathon, you must first make an entry.

Please visit the Hackathon page to submit your entry.

2. Create the first project page🧑🏻‍💻

After entering your product, click the Submit button and you will see a screen like this.

To submit a product, you must first create a project page to host the product.

First, let's create a project for this hackathon submission. This is “the project page”, not the product page.

Here you will need to set up a project name, icon, and project wallet address for receiving prizes💰.

You can easily create a project page. You can also add members and invite your core team by email using the View all button.

3. Create a product page to be submitted👀

You can create your product from the project page.

You can also hold a hackathon, but since we are participating in another hackathon, let's focus on that first to create your product

By clicking on the "Build and submit your product" button, you will see a screen like this, where you can complete the creation of your product page by filling in the fields.

You can create such a page.

Video is an effective way to explain the appeal of your product to the judges in an easy-to-understand manner.

YouTube videos are supported.Upload a video taken with Loom or other software to YouTube and place the URL.

In addition, the following fields can be entered. At least one image is required.

Complete the product page by entering these information.It is important to fill out the form in a way that is easy to understand from the judges' point of view.

Also, please make sure that the Github rpeo is open so that the judges can evaluate your work.

You can also choose to hide the product from third parties. When hidden, the product will only be visible to the core team of the project and the core team of the hackathon to which it was submitted.

4. Submit to the Hackathon from the product page.🎉

You will see a button like this at the bottom of the product page.

You can submit your product to the hackathon you have entered by clicking this Submit button👍🏻

When you click the Submit button, you will see a list of hackathons you have entered like this.

Select the hackathon you wish to submit and make your comments to complete the submission.

Once a submission is made, it cannot be cancelled, but the product content can be updated.　Continue to make improvements until just before the submission deadline.

Also, anyone can view your products on the Hackathon page as shown below.

If you do not want other teams to see your product details, submit just before the deadline or use the hide feature.

This page lists the products of the teams (including individuals) participating in the hackathon.

6. Products are evaluated and prize are paid to the project wallet.

This section is for hackathon organizers.

After the deadline for hackathon submissions, they will be reviewed by the core team of the product opening the hackathon.

The core team can open such an approval screen from the "Select winners" button in the hackathon screen.

This image shows only 1stPlace, but up to 3rd Place can be set. You can then send prizes each project in a single transaction with a pre-set prizes.

By clicking on the "Approve and send prizes" button, the Metamask will be activated to authorize the transfer of funds via AKINDO contract.

The results of the hackathon will be recorded on the Ethereum blockchain.

In addition, 10% of the total prize money will be transferred to the AKINDO wallet as a platform fee. This is our revenue. We will provide more valuable features in the future to make this 10% worthwhile.

7.Prize is displayed on the product page.

The product that wins the prize will be recorded as to which Hackathon and which Place it won.

This record is of course also recorded on the blockchain.

This is a record of past transfers of prizes totaling $33 to three winners; you can see that a $3.3 fee was also transferred to the operation.

Future updates on AKINDO

Developers can now easily submit their products to AKINDO with this update, whereas previously they had to submit their products separately.

Hackathon organizers will now be able to conduct the review process without having to leave AKINDO.

The next update will be an ongoing hackathon feature, a core value of AKINDO.

We see the hackathon as the first step in building ongoing engagement between the project and the developer. It is not a one-time event🙅🏻‍♂️.

Based on this idea, the entered developers will improve their products so that they can continuously earn prize in AKINDO.

The review does not have to be a one-time event.

Provide a second, third, and ongoing opportunity to ensure that the team moving forward with the update gets the greatest return.
